This is an identity system based on the conceptual re-brand of the Vancouver diner and deli Save on Meats. It is designed to create solutions for the current company branding which is weak and inconsistent. The logo is designed to evoke the authentic stamp style that is to be used in a butcher shop on parchment paper. It is meant to communicate a stamp like style representing a stamp of approval and quality while also keeping the retro style of a diner. The pig image pays homage to the iconic Save on Meats sign, and the mountains in the background represent the mountains around Vancouver. It is meant to attract creative professionals who care about supporting local businesses and the community because of the artistic retro style and slogan, serving our community one meal at a time.
